DA 1/72 Tiger I “Michael Wittmann”

The very first of the Dragon Armor 1/72 series, the Tiger I “Michael Wittmann” modelled on Wittmann’s Tiger I of the (schwere) SS Panzer Abteilung 101 during the winter of 1943-44 has become of the most sought after items in this increasingly hard to complete collection.

Attached with two small screws to a black plastic stand and packed in a clear box with the standard Dragon Armor display packaging, this highly detailed metal and plastic model comes complete with revolving (and removable) turret and an extremely high level of accuracy for a piece of its size.

The Tiger I “Michael Wittmann” comes with the whitewash effect that was used at the time on the Eastern Front, and the distinctive “S04” in white outline on the turret. Based on the famous photographs taken after the award of Wittmann’s Knight’s Cross, the barrel of the tank’s 88mm cannon is complete with its distinctive “kill” marks, all finished to a high standard.
