The Story of Michael Wittmann

On this site you will find the most comprehensive biography of Michael Wittmann on the Web, from his life and career from the early days on his father's farm in Bavaria through to his becoming one of the most famous soldiers in Germany during the Second World War.   • Michael Wittmann's early career, which covers the period from his time on the family farm and in the Reichsarbeitsdienst to his joining the fledgling Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler in 1937 and taking part in the first campaigns of the war.
